I want to bless you with an encouraging word on healing.
One day while in prayer, the Lord said, “Kathy, I’m looking for someone to agree with Me.” Immediately, within me, I was ready to agree with God. Now, I’m asking you the same thing. Are you ready to agree with God? He’s looking for you, me, all of us to agree with Him!
God only wants good for all of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for GOOD and not evil to give you a WONDERFUL future and hope.” You might wonder, if God only has good for me, then why do I have cancer? God is not the author of any disease. John 10:10 states that the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. We have to understand that we have an enemy who hates us. But let’s look at the rest of that scripture. “But Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly.” That’s exactly what God wants us to agree with Him – life, and life MORE abundantly!
The first way we can know how to agree with God is to see what He says in His Word. These are His words. Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” God’s Words are eternal, or we can consider them “forever” Words. His Word is and will always be.
In Isaiah 55:11, it says, “So is My Word that goes out from My mouth. It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Then God says in Psalm 107:20, “He sent His Word and healed you from all diseases and destructions (cancer.) I can agree with God for that (healing)! Who about you?
God wants to heal you entirely, spirit, soul, and body. Jesus took wounds on His body (through the stripes) for our healing, so we are healed. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” Which means healing and miracles are available today. Not just back in Biblical times but today, and forever! I want you to hear this. God says we are healed.
Let’s explore another way we can agree with God - we say what God says. Proverbs 18:21, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” This means, if we speak positive, we partake of that fruit; if we speak negatively, we can have that. It sounds to me like this is totally up to us on what we choose. Mark 11:23 says, “If anyone says to this mountain (cancer), go throw yourself into the sea, and DOES NOT doubt in their heart but believes that WHAT THEY SAY WILL HAPPEN, it will be done for them.”
This scripture is so perfect on how important the words we speak genuinely are. Job 22:28, “You shall also decree a thing, and it will be established unto you, and the light shall shine upon your ways.” Decreeing is speaking into your atmosphere. Start decreeing health and life over yourself!
I also love this scripture about speaking the Word. Here it is the Word, prophesying. Ezekiel 37:4, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say dry bones, listen to the WORD of the LORD.” When we speak what God says and/or positive things, we agree with God! Remember, God only wants GOOD for us. The rest of that verse says, “This is what the Sovereign Lord says; Look! I am going to put breath into you and MAKE YOU LIVE AGAIN!” Now that is abundant life!!!
When we agree with God, we put our hope in Him while activating our faith. It is the Spirit of God working through our faith (agreement with God) that heals us. Please don’t be concerned that you don’t have enough faith, that’s just a trick of the enemy. We are all given the measure of faith we need. Most of the time, all that’s needed is for us to activate it by agreeing with God! A little added note, we can’t please God without faith. So, it’s a win-win!
Another way to activate our agreement with God is to believe. This allows us to appropriate the Word and apply it to our life. Luke 8:50 says, “Don’t be afraid, only believe, and you will be well.” Only believe! That relieves you of a lot of worry and stress when you know that you are believing what God has already said He wants you to have.
Let’s review - God says, “You are healed.” You say, “Okay, God, You said it, now I agree with You.”
The best part of this is you’re not trying to get God to agree with what you want. Because God already wants this for you. He wants you healed and cancer eradicated.
Look at these words – quick, alive, powerful, sharper than the best sword ever. This is a description of the Word of God (Scriptures) in Hebrews 4:12. “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” The Word of God is a formidable weapon to use against cancer! It wins every battle (cancer) every time! It’s time for an attitude of health.
Here’s a bonus – Even God gives us bonuses. According to Psalm 68:19, “He loads us down with bonuses (benefits) daily!” The bonus I’m talking about is Angels! Yes, Angels are on assignment for you! Psalms 103:20, says, “Praise the Lord, you - His angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his Word. That means we speak the Word of God, which is agreeing with God, and then ask that the angels be activated or dispatched for us!!! And, when we do, we have an automatic Holy Air Force of Angels warring on our behalf - bringing God’s Word to pass. This is a HUGE bonus!
One other thing is we need to take our authority in Jesus’ Name. When we ask in Jesus’ Name, He gives us the power of attorney. ALL POWER is given to us in Jesus’ Name. You could say we have the same power as Jesus. In other words, what He has, we have.
Psalm 118:10-12 (NLT) “Though hostile cancer surrounds me, I destroyed it with the authority of the Lord, Yes, cancer surrounded and attacked me – But I destroyed it all with the authority of the Lord. It swarmed around me like bees, cancer blazed against me like a crackling fire, But I destroyed all cancer with the authority of the Lord.”
God is looking for someone to agree. Is that someone you?
If so, let’s pray -
Lord, we need You. We are no longer hard on ourselves, giving ourselves a break. We desire to work with You God and give you permission to move in our life. Right now, we agree with what You say, Lord - I am healed of cancer. Lord, place Your Words deep within our hearts. As we decree Your Words, Father, dispatch Your Holy Angels to war and accomplish Your Word. We ask this in Jesus’ Name!
